If you smear some grease onto the base gaskets they will not stick and you can re use them . I would test it with a gauge and know for sure what the problem is or was .
Smearing grease on them is OK to help prevent them sticking, but you should never re-use them... just as you should never re-use head gaskets or piston circlips.
Reusing them for the sake of a leakdown test should be OK, but Christ, the're only a few quid each... is it worth the risk for a £1000 motor?!

The gaskets crush about 0.05mm tops. And they don't come back so reusing them is potentially asking for a leak. Greasing them is really only so that they come off next strip.
Well you have asked people to not swear , use racist remarks etc as you say it is a public forum and children have access to it , so i was wondering why blasphemy is overlooked ?
You freak out when someone uses text speak , posts references to Slip stream performance and mock anyone that tries to enhance the performance of their bike that suggests
that there are other ways and parts to go about getting a decent result . You dismiss anything that is not HRC or F3 as a joke .
The really sad thing is that 95% of the mods that i have done to my bike were without the help of nsrworld ! A shame that a NSR enthusiast has to say that , so you can pat your self
on the back for 5% .
