I'm using RS250 NX5 plugs. R7282-105 plugs with RS caps. If I get stopped in traffic for too long I'll kill the engine before the plugs get killed. Frightfully expensive.
Also used R5300-105 plugs in various heat ranges, and of course the stock BR9ECM, or BR10ECM
Just a note to say that Wiseco have finally done the job and got my pistons made. They are now somewhere between Ohio and TYGA USA in Nevada, and Glenn will then send them to me.
They have been upgraded from the previous NSR300 piston and now have Zylan skirt coating for reduced friction.
I will put them as "in stock" on our website, so that we can get the ball rolling, but please note that they probably won't be here for another week or so. But that's not a huge issue in the case of complete kits as I have to machine the cylinder anyway.
Andy; sorry to bung up your forum with commercial stuff, but I figured it the best way to reach the people involved. Oh yeah, and it give you the grand opportunity to say...."should have kept it as a 250" When should I reserve seats at HQ?
No problem Matt, (a) it's relevant as there are members asking about progress on here on a couple threads, and (b) you don't take the piss! (Well, not on here anyway!)
As for HQ... I should hope you don't need to reserve seats... there should be a corner with a little red rope cordoning it off awaiting my return! If there isn't, there's gonna' be trouble! _________________ Andy.

Zylan, Xylan, depends who you speak to or the website you look at. Wiseco refer to it as Zylan. Or at least their special product division does.
Probably depends on the manufacturer as to what it's called. Bit like Kevlar (aramid synthetic fiber), Teflon (Polytetrafluoroethylene - PTFE) etc....usually an easy name for something that I can't pronounce
Yeah there'll be plenty of work for the trades down your way for a fair while now bro! I've felt three earthquakes since i've been in NZ but i haven't felt anything coming through from the chch quakes.
You've seen the way most of the houses in Wellington are hangin over cliffs and the like ay? Bet they're slightly concerned about one of the faults on the lower north island shifting too!
I better go stake my claim on a set of these new forged pistons! _________________ After years of moaning about immigrants now i am one...
Just what I was considering! Fitting Wossner pistons (or weisco, if no Wossners.
Took a look on the Tyga site, but no sign of either pistons being available. Is this still going to happen? How far off are they?
What kind of improvements would the Wossners give on the ART pistons? Just rev more? (Already getting 13k, not that I rev it that hard....often) Or more power overall?
